SUMMARY:Hillbilly’s Hero 2025 “Fun” Walk/Run & Virtual 5K
DESCRIPTION:Tyler Hill\, Jeff’s son\, is working on his National Honor Society project\, and so we are once again doing this fun IN-PERSON walk/run through Woodland Trails in Elk River\, MN for the last time. It is a 1-mile trail that participants can choose to run/walk twice\, or just once if they prefer. We will have a raffle and silent auction with some amazing and fun items to win\, food truck\, music\, and a fun\, inviting atmosphere with a patriotic theme.  All proceeds go to the JHLF\, with 100% going directly to Air Force ROTC Cadet Scholarships! \n\n\n\n**This will be our LAST in-person MN event\, so you won’t want to miss out!** \n\n\n\nA letter from Tyler Hill: \n\n\n\nHello\, \n\n\n\n      We are currently working on our National Honor Society project and have set up a 2-mile run/walk called Hillbilly’s Hero “Fun” Run as a way to raise money for the Jeff Hill Legacy Fund.  For those who don’t know\, the Jeff Hill Legacy Fund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit my mom started following our dad’s death in 2010 when he was killed in a C-17 plane crash while serving on active duty in the Air Force. The JHLF gives out educational scholarships to Air Force ROTC cadets at Universities in Minnesota\, Wisconsin\, and Alaska. So far we have given out over $100\,000 and have helped 75 cadets! We recently became official board members and are excited to do all of these things in memory of our dad\, including the opportunity to share some of his story with all of you. \n\n\n\n       As for the run\, it will be happening on Saturday\, May 17th at Woodland Trails here in Elk River.  Check-in starts at 9:00 am with the race starting at 10:00 am.  Our food truck will be there starting at 10:00 am\, along with a raffle\, music\, and a fun atmosphere with a patriotic theme\, all to raise money for a great cause!
