Veronica Hoxie is a lifelong Alaskan. Her parents moved to Alaska in the 1980’s with the United States Air Force, and she has several family members who have served, or are currently serving, in the United States military. 

She has a passion for helping others achieve their educational goals. Since 2008, Veronica has been involved with the Miss Alaska Scholarship Foundation, a subsidiary of the Miss America Organization which is a 501c3 non-profit, and is the largest provider of scholarships to young women. She earned her bachelors degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage in journalism and public communication, and graduated debt free thanks to the scholarships she earned.  By day she works as a communications specialist for an energy company, and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and staying active.  

Veronica is married to her husband, Zach, and they have two children together.  Zach was in 6th grade when he first met the Hills and grew up with the Hoxie-Hill clan, so when they started dating she instantly became part of the family.  Although she never got a chance to meet Jeff in person, she has shared many Alaskan events and adventures with Rachael, TJ, and Tyler!  Veronica is excited to be a board member of the Jeff Hill Legacy Fund and not only providing scholarships to men and women, but also doing it in honor of Captain Jeff Hill.
